Minimist

I have performed musically over the course of three decades. I’ve tried my hand at countless genres, mastering none but enjoying all of it.

This project was born out of always wanting to play guitar and never learning how (outside of the 6 months of classes I took in the 8th grade) and being the most mentally unstable I have been since high school (which was fitting because I had to move in with my parents who I hadn’t lived with since that time.) I went out and bought a cheap used guitar from the place that opened up during the pandemic to sell sad people used cheap guitars. I pretended to have rhythm and made whatever sounds I wanted when my parents were at work. Once, I made the mistake of practicing while they were home. Once. This was my intense therapy (along with actual intense therapy) that pulled me together. Throwing myself into dumb little ideas of songs and playing around with animation and audio editing gave me purpose when I was still in self destruction mode.

Now, the practice and creation continues, but less makes it out of my apartment. See it all on Instagram, YouTube, and probably TikTok.
