About PZ Publishing: A small fantasy publisher in Rhode Island
Project Goals: To design a site with ecommerce capabilities that easy enough for a novice to edit themselves, with education program
Time Frame: 2 weeks
Deliverables: Squarespace ecommerce site and recorded education session
Positive Zero Publishing, run by Andre Pereira, is a small publisher out of Rhode Island specializing in fantasy novels and short stories. I was introduced to Andre through my great friend and amazing UX designer, Alissa Marr. She had worked with him on the design of his logo and basic concepting for the website.
I was able create a beautiful layout that included everything Andre was looking for on SquareSpace. They had all of the tools and features needed to create a great looking site that included a store. The site has been designed to be easy for Andre to update, collect viewer info, and make newsletters from to keep in touch with is readers.
To finalize the design with Andre, I sat down with him over zoom and had an education session to show him all of his site’s functionality. I took the time to answer all of his questions and I recorded the session for him to refer to in the future.
